With just a weekend, base yourself in Oia or Imerovigli for the caldera views. Day one: wander Fira's cliffside paths, then catch the sunset from Oia's castle ruins (arrive an hour early for a spot). Day two: take a boat tour around the volcano and hot springs, then finish with dinner in Pyrgos, one of the island's quieter hilltop villages. Rent an ATV if you want the flexibility to chase good light between villages.
